We require any booking forms to be returned at least 2 weeks before the date of arrival. A booking is not confirmed until a booking form has been completed and returned to us either in the post or by email and the £50 booking fee has been received. Returning customers need only update their details if their circumstances change.
All arrivals, departures and viewings are by appointment only, and within the opening times of the Cattery, to minimise disruption to our guests.
All cats must arrive at the Cattery in a carrier. Cats not in a carrier will not be accepted.
Cats remain the responsibility of the owner until officially handed over into the care of the Cattery.
You are welcome within reason to bring in items for your cats to help them settle, however we cannot be responsible for any damage to any of these items.
Upon arrival, we will fill out an additional checklist covering things such as vaccination details if not yet seen, collar removal and possessions deposited with us.
In the case of an unavoidable delay when collecting your cat(s) (such as problems with flights etc) the cat(s) will be moved to one of our holding pens for a maximum of 24 hours. An extra charge will be made to cover the extra food and cleaning required.
If a cat is not collected within 7 days of the date they are due to leave and we have had no communication from the owner, a decision to re-home the cat(s) will be made at our discretion, and the owner will be notified.
If you need to arrange for a friend or family member to pick up your cat(s) on your behalf, please notify us in advance and ask the person to bring a form of identification.
Please feel free to email us or call on 01761 435408 to arrange an appointment.
Cats are boarded at the risk of the owner and it is a condition of boarding that your cat is generally fit and healthy on admission, while every care will be taken at Purrfect Stay, we cannot be liable for unexpected illness or death of any animal in our care.
In order to ensure the health and well-being of your cat and the other cats boarded at Purrfect Stay, all cats must be fully vaccinated against feline enteritis and flu. Yearly vaccinations must be up to date.
We will require a valid vaccination certificate to be presented on or before arrival before a cat will be boarded. No exceptions.
Please ensure all worming and flea treatments are up to date as if a cat needs to be treated during their stay this treatment will incur a cost of not only the treatment itself but also the extra cleaning required. Owners will be notified before treatment and the charge incurred.
Upon arrival, we reserve the right to refuse entry to any cat we believe to not be vaccinated, carrying an infectious illness, or for any reason appears to be unfit for boarding.
We require owners to sign the booking in form as a means of Vet Authorisation should your cat require urgent treatment.
We currently do not take cats with diabetes.
Please note we will not accept males over the age of 8 months and females over the age of 9 months who are not neutered.
When cats of the same family are boarded together, we reserve the right to separate the cats into individual pens should the need arise. In this event extra charges will be applied.
If your cat should be unwell during their stay with us we will firstly contact your own vet, if for any reason it has not been possible for your cat to see their own vet we will contact the vet with which the Cattery is registered, or any vet that has an appointment available - should any of this occur, fees will be applicable.
Our rates are inclusive of your cats usual diet, heating, grooming, and cuddles.
We charge by the day or part thereof. Day of arrival, departure and all days booked are charged for. Due to increased costs of staffing we are taking a minimum of 3 day bookings from 01 October to 31 March and a minimum of 5 day bookings over the summer.
If for any reason you wish to collect your cat earlier than the prearranged departure the full cost of the booked stay will still apply. You may collect your cat within the cattery opening times as long as you have informed us and arranged a time for collection.
We require a non-refundable £50 booking fee which is deductible from your final bill prior to confirmation of the booking.
Cancellations made less than 7 calendar days from planned date of arrival will attract the full charge as arranged. Payment of the booking fee implies acceptance of these Ts and Cs.
In these circumstances we will issue an invoice which should enable reimbursement from your insurance company.
Payment is required on collection of your cat by: cash, cheque or BACS Transfer. At the moment we do not take Debit/Credit Cards.
